So, let’s take a detailed look at it. We will also learn how to install this Saigon jailbreak on the device.
Supported Devices for Saigon Jailbreak:
The latest Saigon jailbreak is available only for the iOS version 10.2.1. If you have any higher or lower version, it will not be possible to install this jailbreak.
If you have a higher version, you may be thinking about downgrading it to 10.2.1. Unfortunately, Apple does not sign the 10.2.1 version anymore and hence stepping down to this version may not be possible at all. So, you are going to need 10.2.1 iOS version in order to get this jailbreak. If you are not interested in jailbreaking your iOS device, try jailbreak alternatives like Appvalley for iOS and Cyrus installer iOS app. These apps allow you to get Cydia experience without having to jailbreak your iPhone/iPad.
To check the iOS version on your device navigate to Settings >> General >> About. Here you need to look at the number next to ‘Version.’
Here is the list of supported devices (running on 10.2.1):
- iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus

- Connect the device to the computer using USB cable. Wait for Cydia Impactor to detect the device.
- Drag and drop the Saigon IPA file over the Cydia Impactor interface.

Once the installation is complete, disconnect the device from the computer. You will now see the Saigon jailbreak icon on the home screen. However, the device hasn’t jail broken yet. You need to run Saigon.
While trying to run it, you will encounter the error messaging, “Untrusted Enterprise Developer”. This is because the Saigon profile hasn’t been signed yet. We can take care of this very easily. Here is what you need to do:
- Open Settings from your iDevice home screen.
- Select General.
- Tap ‘Profiles & Device Management’.
- Tap the Saigon profile on the list.
- Tap ‘Trust (followed by Saigon profile name).
- Tap ‘Trust’ again when the prompt appears.
That’s it! Saigon profile has been signed and now the jailbreak is ready to use. Return to the home screen and launch Saigon.
Note: If the jailbreak fails the first time, try it again. This is the beta phase of Saigon and hence you may need to run the process multiple times before you are able to jailbreak the device. It would be a good idea to reboot the device if jailbreak isn’t happening.
Saigon jailbreak is the new jailbreak solution for iOS devices. However, it works only on the version 10.2.1. If you have this version, download the IPA file and Cydia Impactor to install Saigon jailbreak tool. The jailbreak is in beta phase and thus may not really work as expected.
